![]() ![]() Yeah, nope, I couldn’t find a single one worthy of posting for Tygra. Poor Tygra, always playing second fiddle to Lion-O and can’t even get enough cosplayers to help out for his cause either. And his mask doesn’t look near as bad as half the others I looked at. (that or I just suck at using Google) Mumm RaĬan’t forget the evil nemesis of the Thundercats! There were quite a few Mumm Ra guys out there but none seemed to get the entire “bandage” look spot on like this guy did. That and there were some really slim pickings for Panthro cosplayers out there. That right there deserves some kind of merit in my book. This guy wins for going through the painstaking process of airbrushing all his muscle definition. (she obviously went hand in hand with Wilykat above) I like the skin coloring she’s done and the again the costume is on point. This by far was the best variant of Wilykit. I wanted to do my best to try and find each character I could – but hold myself accountable for finding the BEST that I could find. (the cosplayer also threw in a tail with everything but it’s not seen in the photo I chose to use) Wilykit I love the attention to detail particularly with the costume. Granted it’s a girl playing the role of the mischievous brother, this is a great rendition of the “new” version of Wilykat. ![]() This guy nails the make up but I think he needs to tone down the roids. Yet, going out and finding someone who’s done the costume and design justice was hard. What gives? One could argue that he’s the most popular of all Thundercats (next to Cheetara of course) and one of the most memorable cartoon characters from the 1980’s. I’m kind of shocked at how hard it is to find decent Lion-O cosplayers. I also enjoy the cosplayer above for putting forth some great effort in capturing the “new” Cheetara’s look rather than the classic. Though when you compare that kind of effort to the one above, it’s no contest. I see so many who put on bright orange and yellow spandex and call it a day. There are SO MANY Cheetara cosplayers out there but none of them seem to understand how to do the character any justice what so ever. So I’ve scoured the interwebs looking for the best of the best and these are some of my favorites that I happened upon. I had never seen any “great” Thundercats cosplayers and made it a challenge to seek them out. (obviously we all love the internet for this reason – am I right?) If you’re waiting for that paper jam to clear, or are on a conference call and need to keep yourself from falling asleep, the internet cosplayers are there for you. For most of us, going through cosplay photos is an easy and fun way to kill some time while at work. I’m sure that most of the readers that flock to Unreality are probably fans of the 80’s classic cartoon as well.
